As eastern concepts, Feng Shui have taken years to infiltrate the western society but now as you can see more and more people are turning to it for inspiration and help. The Feng Shui is a method to invite good energy and good luck to come and visit to your home and your space, whether this Feng Shui can be applied in your bedroom, entire home or your office. It can be done for all of these.

Feng Shui principles take all elements into consideration when trying to generate a space that is welcoming to positive Chi energy. You can use color, light, furniture, other household items and even plants to enhance the Chi of a space. One of the best things to use in your home is Feng Shui paint colors. It costs you very little and it can do you the world of good.

When you are looking into Feng Shui paint colors, you need not buy the most expensive paint either. After all, it is the color you are after and not the paint brand name. When you are investigating where to put your Feng Shui paint colors into practice, your front door is a good start. Your ideal Feng Shui front door color is red or purple. Red and purple do a good job of inviting and attracting good luck and good Chi into your home.

Feng Shui paint colors principles

In Feng Shui each color is associated with a different element and a different effect. So for this reason it is very important to choose your Feng Shui paint colors very carefully. You could, of course; simply splash any color onto the wall that tickles your fancy. However, according to Feng Shui paint colors principles you could just be creating the wrong effect and welcoming the wrong energy into that space. Do some careful research into what the different elements means and which colors are associated with them.

After you know which element is represented by which color and which color will attract what energy, you can set to work. You then need to decide what type of energy you want in each space in your home. Once you know all of that you can set about picking out your ideal Feng Shui paint colors and start painting to your heart’s content.

Color can greatly enhance the atmosphere or a space and it can have huge effects on your mood while you are in that room or space. It is important to make sure that you like the Feng Shui paint colors you choose so take your time to think about different shades, tints and hues you can use to create a room full of good energy and color that you love.

It is formulated for greater durability, extending the beauty and adapt to the needs of environmental use. Here are some of the most used for each sector:

Bathrooms and wet environments:
For the large amount of moisture that remains constant in the environment using waterproof products, thus wanted to avoid damage to the lining underneath the paint, preventing the release of same. Furthermore moisture favors the growth of fungi. It is common to find anti-fungal paint to reduce the possibility of its proliferation. Another alternative is to add compounds to the material that serve the same function.

Kitchens
In the same way as in other areas find moisture, but, besides the resulting oily food preparation. The paint should be plastic or latex. Sometimes synthetic enamel is often used to be much more washable and withstand certain detergents and abrasives. Satin and shiny finishes allow less dirt release and of course a better cleaning. During the repainting is advisable to remove all traces of grease, cleaning, and moisture to enable a good grip on the paint.

In external fronts
All exterior paints are more resistant to weather and the elements, should not replace them with interior paints. Other materials such as varnishes, UV filters are usually for the better preservation of wood exposed to sunlight.

In rooms for children and other sensitive
The odorless paints is favorable for those who do not support strong odors and respiratory problems. Hypoallergenic paints are appropriate in such cases. Paintings are advised for easy cleaning. There is no doubt that the walls of the room from the kids that suffer most at home.

The garage or carport
As in most cases we notice the use of washable paint. Even more in a place where the smoke can easily get on the walls. Apart from a type of paint finish and is recommended especially color. The gray or some similar tone that mimics the stains that occur on the walls does endure the good aspect of this environment, often forgotten.

An important place and welfare of sharing family moments with friends or in solitude is the dining room. According to the plan design of the house may be in a single environment, along the hall or living room, or next to the kitchen, making a more informal atmosphere than the previous. In these two cases we must bear in mind the colors of these environments that share the dining room to ensure continuity. Usually everything is painted the same, but locating a complement in the warm decor of the place, something of a warm tone as the color of upholstered chairs or just a centerpiece.

Warm colors and cheerful
Among the colors that can be used for a dining room can highlight a wide range of warm colors like orange, yellow, peach and green tones as. All these have the distinction of being cheerful and conducive to the illumination of the room. Not necessarily be any dull room, you can highlight a wall, trim or some element of the walls like a column, a beam or lintel of a different color, a poof or a wallpaper. For example tones that go well with the orange light is a light gray, vanilla, white, beige or a darker orange.
If you want less vibrant and intense colors may choose beige, cream, green, blue and soft pastels such as lavender, pink, peach. Apart from this as previously mentioned, you can add details of warm colors, to stimulate appetite.

Lighting & Decor
Try to keep the place well lit space to be active, cheerful and light is complemented by the colors chosen.

The ceiling is the surface of an environment that receives less light from the outside (but even if it has small windows) and generally gets used a white paint, or very mild, to maintain clarity in the room. This also makes the highest ceiling in appearance. But this should not always be taken literally and can be experienced with a variety of colors, just like on the walls.

If you choose a color too dark, the tone of the walls should be more clear, to avoid taking too much light into the environment. You with a dark ceiling and light walls create the opposite effect described above, to “lower the ceiling” and does not seem too high, and that in turn seems to stay wider, which is usually used in narrow aisles. In the case of using the same tone for walls and ceilings can be performed as in the last photo on this post, where you lose the connection between the two surfaces together in a “whole” by color. Or instead use frames delimiting walls and ceiling, which besides being a very good decorative touch, highlights local architecture.

It is hardly necessary to speak of colors. Warm colors create a cozy and active, cool colors are cool and quiet. The ceiling is just to give that touch of warmth or coolness, especially with cool colors like blue or blue in warm weather.

A clear example is the paintings and low toxicity aromatic special rooms will be occupied almost immediately. We could align in the same category hypoallergenic paints. These are indicated for use in rooms with people who have sensitive or allergic to strong odors, thus avoiding potential respiratory problems. So the paint is odorless, so the work and stay in the same may become more bearable. The painting is special for baby rooms, and more and more brands that add to its product line of this type.

Choosing a type of paint as this can be recommended for immediate environments inhabited. If the paint is odorless, and the atmosphere remains unoccupied for a while is not justifiable, since the smell of a traditional painting disappears with time and becomes completely harmless.

The full range of yellow colors are special for providing lighting environments. According to what was said in sensations and stimulation of the mind, encourages communication between people and good humor, so it is ideal for common areas, lounge, kitchen, dining, buffets, but too intense hues can become overwhelming and cause nervousness. Not suitable for babies rooms. Vanilla, corn, sun are the most common names of many different shades, from milder to more intense closer to ocher. In the letter we can find various shades RAL yellowish preceded by the number 1, from 1000 to 1032.

What color combination?
In a tonal scheme would go with darker yellow or soft, with a simple choice and easy. In a harmonic scheme with green and orange, creating a harmonious environment, peaceful and enlightened. And in contrast to a pattern of violet, purple and blue. No doubt the neutral colors are good companions especially white, off white and gray. It is perfect with light and dark woods, harmonizing with the second and making the dark woods, like cherry, wenge or carob-highlighting in the set.

The room decoration, and as a basis, the color of the walls of a small apartment a few aspects should be taken into account to achieve a visual extension of the proportions and use every inch of its surface.

The colors of the walls
It is known that light colors, especially white, wide spaces as we say in Create effects with the colors, why opt for pastel shades of every hue is the most recommendable. Avoid dark colors and warm too strong or bright. But this does not always meet the tastes of each one of us, sometimes we try to give life to the department and live in warm colors that brighten the rooms and create a dynamic and youthful. In the case of using these warm colors for walls can choose orange, yellow, earthy colors, green apple, all combined with shades of white or light wood and similar fabrics. Another option is light-colored paint most of the walls of the room, and use a higher pitch in a small wall to give the note of color and contrast. Another aspect that is often overlooked is the continuity of the colors in the move to different rooms. An apartment painted the same color or similar colors in different rooms, creates a feeling of continuity and consistency that increases the space visually have no color limits.

Type, shape, color and distribution of furniture
Not only just the right choice of colors, the furniture is the key to select in the use of space. Small furniture, particularly furniture to low table height, wall space and create space in the visual field of the occupants.
The simple forms are the best, the chairs look as bulky and cumbersome designs of a classic style are less suitable. Avoid unnecessary recharge stays, opt for a minimalist Zen or decoration can give an idea.
Try different layouts of the furniture to make space, opting for good transit. You can replace furniture and large side tables, modular furniture or TV stand shelves, brackets hanging on the wall or floating shelves. Take the corners.

Lighting, Fabrics and Accessories
The lighting is fundamental to any interior, especially in a small one. The light must not miss, giving priority to natural light. Avoid standing lamps that consume space. A central light, you can add sconces on walls and ceilings. And the curtains? Just they are permitted free passage of light, these fabric smooth, simple shapes, simple fall, light colors, especially white.

Place a modest amount of ornaments to decorate and same pictures, small size and few in number. If you want to place large boxes can do so at a bare wall and not to exceed one third of the width of the wall around. A common trick is to use mirrors which magnify a little more space, but generally mirrors where they are useful and are uncomfortable and not intimidating.

Temperature, humidity and wind are factors you should consider not to affect the good adhesion and paint finishing.

The heat should not be excessive
It is recommended not to paint the sun. The direct effect of sunlight on surfaces causes them to acquire high temperatures that impair adhesion of the material. The solvent with which they are dissolved evaporates quickly producing an immediate drying and avoiding penetration into the surface, causing air bubbles or blisters almost immediately after applying. This is seen more frequently in oil paints and synthetic enamels and varnishes. For water-based paints may occur cracking of the layer of material applied to the wall. Therefore it is recommended facades and exterior paint in the shade or morning or evening. It should take into account the heat in the painting of swimming pools, where it is advisable to work on dry days with temperatures between 10º and 25º.

As the environmental humidity affect the paint
In the case of excessive humidity, condensation occurs on the surface wetting and adhesion difficult material applied, especially in the case of oil paints. Never paint when rain is approaching.

The wind and dust particles
The difficulty imposed by the wind is obvious. The adhesion of dust and dirt particles from the surface soil and give you a rough finish. This is less evident during the hell out of walls but seriously affected carpentry as door, windows and surfaces exposed to the touch.

It is favorable for spaces where you want to promote relaxation, relaxation, concentration, making it useful in bedrooms and offices or study rooms.

Combinations with other colors
A color that can be combined with several more, creating different effects while its main feature of freshness and tranquility. Together with gray and black takes a modern and elegant profile. With other heavenly pastel hues and earth tones, pink, beige or white is shown as a delicacy, especially for children rooms. Shades of green, or lilac make a more lively and youthful atmosphere.
